PowerShot S110: Goodbye grip (pictures)

by Lori Grunin

While Canon added a touch screen to the camera, it ditched the small grip that made it easier to hold.

Same camera
The camera design and operation are relatively unchanged -- except Canon dropped the tiny grip, which made the camera a lot more usable.
Back
The buttons are flatter now, but the back has a more streamlined-looking design than before.
Wi-Fi
There's an extra mode on the dial to access the new, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
Profile
Touch screen
The S110 has been updated with a touch screen.
Old lens
The one disappointment is that the camera still has the old lens, which is fast when it's shooting at its widest, but gets very narrow very fast.
