Looking like a Nokia Lumia cousin, HTC's new Windows Phone 8X is the company's biggest investment in Microsoft's mobile platform yet.

A Windows Phone 8 hot rod
HTC's new Windows Phone 8X represents a big new commitment to Microsoft's upcoming mobile operating system. The phone boasts a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 screen, 1.6GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, and NFC technology.
Hues a plenty
The HTC Windows Phone 8X comes in a myriad of colors including Flame Red and Limelight Yellow shown here. Other hues available are California Blue and Graphite Black.
Another 8X view
We placed the HTC Windows Phone 8X in the light box HTC provided and snapped another shot of the Flame Red version.
Power and headphones
On top of the HTC Windows Phone 8X are a power button and 3.5mm headphone jack.
A plain left side
The HTC Windows Phone 8X is rather plain with no controls or buttons.
Smooth on back
The HTC Windows Phone 8X has a back side that's smooth and featureless save the 8-megapixel camera and LED flash.
Controls in a row
Unlike the HTC Windows Phone 8X's left side, which is barren of buttons, the phone's right side has controls for volume and a dedicated camera key.
Left of limelight yellow
Here's a look at the left side of the Limelight Yellow version of the HTC Windows Phone 8X.
USB on bottom
On the bottom edge of the HTC Windows Phone 8X is its micro-USB port.
An all-yellow back
